I’ve loved traveling since my first European backpacking trip in my early 20s. The internet didn’t exist then so our guide was a 5cm thick ‘Let’s Go Europe’ book with no photos. We soon realised that ‘getting to the top’ was the best way to work out where to go in each new place, and I’ve made it my mission since, to get up high whenever I’ve travelled and seek that ‘wow’ experience of views from the top.

I’ve often been frustrated when visiting a new destination, that it wasn’t obvious where to go for the best view or where to have a drink or meal whilst enjoying the view. The idea came to me in 2011 to create an app to share my love of great views around the world with others – and a few years later, Views On Top was born!

I’m enjoying building a community of view lovers and looking forward to visiting the places I haven’t yet been. I love seeing new destinations added by users to Views On Top and the recent Release of v2.0 gives a platform to showcase those destinations in the What’s New screen.

I hope Views On Top will inspire our Viewsers – like the name for our users? – to seek out great views around the world, to appreciate the amazing structures built to enable us to see views of beautiful places, and to experience the many ‘up-high’ things you can do just for fun.
